tickets to give away is recommended over items

Troop 180 Meeting Minutes Wednesday Dec 10 2008:
Spaghetti Supper Date: Awaiting confirmation from Immanuel Lutheran Church.
Adult Training: Dan Newman confirmed Jan 22, 2009 7-8:45pm date/time for Leaders Essentials Course St Mary's Church, Recommended for Registered Leaders and Committee Members. Also Life to Eagle adult workshop Jan 12 09 Liberty Church Shrewsbury.
Troop Re-charter: Joe, DanH, Rod, Ralph have local papers completed and DanH will deliver to council HQ tomorrow.
Quartermaster: We do not need to purchase any new equipment currently. We need several Scouts to volunteer, preferably 1 Senior and 1 from each Patrol to assist. Dean will poll scouts soon to determine interest and review/renew our inventory and sign-out process.
What rank must a scout be to be able to sign-off another scout's requirements? Mark to check w/ Howie and Rod.
Spaghetti Supper Volunteers: We will ask for volunteers after the Holidays.
Spaghetti Supper: We need to plan earlier - we may have to rely on more on ticket sales vs. business donations/silent auction due to economy. Discussed using Ralph's list of Troop 180 alumni and have scouts assigned to do an alum call-down/invitation.
PLC: Getting word out about agenda sooner/better communications. DanH proposed we cut first Tues Scout mtg to 1 hr and combine PLC, seems would be a very good compromise w/ everyone's busy schedule.
Meeting Schedule: DanH handed out current version of the schedule. Discussed possible winter snowshoe even. Need to decide date for 2009 High Adventure. Winter Freezeout event is Jan 7th 09.
Open Discussion: Need list of Scouts and their current Merit Badge achievements from BobD.

The following was discussed at the Wed Nov 5 2008 Committee meeting:
. success of recent campout
. the latest meeting was an 'achievement meeting' - boys made a lot of progress and we should be sure and schedule one or two of these each year - goal is for two merit badges between summer camps
. proposed date for spaghetti dinner: March 7, 2009
. the wreath fundraiser is to gross $1650, for a profit of $751
. Parker says thanks for all the volunteer support - he raised $400
. Mark Goodwin is assistant awards chair
. the annual setting-up of the crèche is Nov 25th this year (Tuesday before Thanksgiving) - Carl Janik has volunteered to supervise
