Troop 180

About

Troop 180 was chartered in 1943. The Troop is very proud of its tradition of helping boys attain the rank of Eagle Scout: the highest attainable rank in Scouting, a great honor and something to be very proud of. As of 2011, our troop has graduated 87 Eagle Scouts. We are very fortunate to have a fair number of active and dedicated former scoutmasters, scouts, parents and alumni who continue to serve and take part in our troop.

www.scouting.org: The Boy Scouts of America is one of the nation's largest and most prominent values-based youth development organizations. The BSA provides a program for young people that builds character, trains them in the responsibilities of participating citizenship, and develops personal fitness.

For nearly a century, the BSA has helped build the future leaders of this country by combining educational activities and lifelong values with fun. The Boy Scouts of America believes — and, through nearly a century of experience, knows — that helping youth is a key to building a more conscientious, responsible, and productive society.

We Welcome you to join us:  The Troop meets on Tuesday nights at the First Congregational Church in Holden, MA from 6:45 pm to 8:30pm. Our Troop values Community Service and participation and enjoys physical outdoor activities, emphasizing hiking, camping, backpacking, canoeing, kayaking, rock climbing, biking, snowshoeing and much more... all to try and encourage and inspire the tenets Scouting was founded upon: Character, Citizenship and Fitness.  Troop 180 is part of the Mohegan Council in the Quinsigamond District, serving the Central Massachusetts communities of Auburn, Boylston, Holden, Leicester, Oakham, Paxton, Rutland, Shrewsbury, West Boylston, and Worcester.
